A brand new year We are now into Ferbuary with the blues, booze and BBQ's weekend just finished. Another successfull day, this year without all the sun burn that usually goes with the weekend. Every one who stayed with us reported a great day out. We now look forward to the Wine festival his coming weekend. We are booked out solid, but check for cancellations. We are now getting northern hemisphere guests arriving, getting away from their winter.

Westwood Shopping Centre is now well under construction. After a protracted 5 year battle with Council the first business, "Bunnings", is just a couple of months away from opening. This will be followed soon after by "pak-n-sav" and other outlets. We have had continues disruption to egress on and off our site since the beginning of December but those who have gained entrance have enjoyed their stay.

Grape season 2012 is well underway. We have a really good strike of fruit on our vine at the motel this year, and I'm sure the growers are doing even better. It looks grand for the harvest yet to come. At this time of the year the vinery's look magnificent, all green and in such tidy rows, kilometre after kilometre.

Molesworth Station. The toll road through Molesworth and Rainbow Stations is now open to the general public. This is a fantastic journey into the heart of the back country Every year this road is open for just three months.

A group of guests stayed with us on their way to raft the Clarence river, from the Acheron River to the sea. This is a new adventure four/five day trip run by Clarence River Rafting. Adventurous enough to rival the Grand Canyon, maybe. Check it out here
